10. Cable Beach, Western Australia
If there’s one destination that showcases the most breathtaking sunsets, it’s Cable Beach. This stunning beach near Broome delivers a unique experience, with a thin layer of water often covering the sand to create a mesmerizing mirror effect. The enchanting reflections and vibrant colors make this spot unforgettable. Although the beach is famous for its camel rides, I don’t recommend them due to concerns about the animals’ living conditions.
9. Byron Bay Lighthouse, New South Wales - Coastal Charm in the Top 10 Places to Visit in Australia
Byron Bay stands out as my absolute favorite town along Australia’s east coast. Walking up to the iconic lighthouse is a must, offering breathtaking coastal views that stretch for miles. During the winter months, bring binoculars to make the most of this perfect spot for whale watching. If you’re lucky, you might also spot a playful pod of dolphins, just as we did.

This spot in Tasmania feels absolutely majestic. Upon arrival, you’re greeted with a breathtaking view that stretches endlessly. Walking down to the dam is an option, but it’s worth noting that those with a fear of heights might find it daunting. The vastness and emptiness of the area can leave you in awe. Sunset adds an extra layer of magic, making it the perfect time to admire The Gordon Dam.

A gradient of blues and a white sandy beach so fine it tickles your feet with every step. This beach was a true paradise with no tourists in sight! And if you’re better fishermen than us, you could leave with a bucket of clams. So… to your vans, ready, explore!

This is where, very excitedly, I discovered my first pink lake! This road is truly surreal, you’ll be amazed. However, avoid the dry season to visit this place, as the lake will be more white than pink. So to avoid disappointment, check the conditions before you go.

Did someone say “natural hot spring water”? I’m in!
This place is a refreshing paradise – because even though the water is warm, the outside temperature is higher – invigorating, clean, and peaceful. This spot really helped me unwind. A crucial stop when you’re about to cross the outback.

Quokka, that’s the name of this adorable little creature that smiles and sticks out its tongue. The best companion for taking selfies, you’ll find them all over the island. As soon as you get off the ferry, rent a bike and explore Rottnest Island. I was so fascinated by the Quokkas that I forgot to take photos of the island! Send me yours sometime.

Yes, this view is real, and the photos are not edited—I captured them with my iPhone. This spot was one I had heard so much about and couldn’t wait to explore! I chose the day package that included a boat trip and a 1-hour flight with Ocean Rafting, and both activities are absolute must-dos if you’re visiting the area.

Do you love snorkelling? Then don’t miss visiting this national park. Colourful corals, fish, rays, and turtles await you. If you visit between March and April, you can witness turtle eggs hatching. Watching these tiny creatures emerge and make their way to the water remains one of the most beautiful moments of my trip.

White sandy beaches with views of turquoise waters – what more could you ask for? Oh, I know – kangaroos to enjoy this beautiful place with! Head to Lucky Bay to meet the kangaroos; they roam freely but are very curious and used to tourists. All the beaches in the park are absolutely stunning. In my opinion, it’s the most beautiful place in Australia.
