Yes, for the riverside viewing areas. The Mayor of London’s event runs from 8pm on 31 December 2026 until 12:30am on 1 January 2027, and the stretch of the Thames with the best view is ticketed.
The 2026/27 tickets are not on sale yet. The Mayor’s office has confirmed the date and the timings but has not yet announced when tickets go on sale or what they will cost. You can register for an alert on the London City Hall site, and I will update this page the day the details land.
What they cost last time, as a guide. These were the prices for the 2025/26 display, so treat them as a rough idea rather than a promise:
- Category B viewing areas: £40, or £20 on a London postcode
- Category A viewing areas: £55, or £35 on a London postcode
- A £2.66 booking fee per ticket on top
- Four tickets maximum per person
- Sold through Ticketmaster in two releases, the first around mid-October and the second in late November
